Why stretch marks occur, types of stretch marks and is stretch mark treatment possible?

 

Stretch marks are a type of scar that develops when the skin is quickly stretched or contracted. Sudden change causes tearing of collagen and elastins that support our skin. Cases where these structures cannot renew themselves create traces of stretch marks.

Stretch marks occur in the following cases, genetic predisposition can also play a major role in the formation of stretch marks.

  • Growth attacks in adolescence,

  • Pregnancy,

  • Fast weight gain and loss,

  • Hormone disorder,

  • Fast muscle growth.

 

Stretch marks can be defined as thin tears in the dermis layer. The newly formed cracks are red in color and gradually fade into white tones. The level of stretch marks is important to improve traces. The sooner the young marks are intervened, the higher the stretch mark treatment success.
